前作"DARK WEB"はBjorkをはじめとする多くの人々を魅了し
2014年の世界を表す音像として受け入れられた。
今作は前作でみられた多くのボーカルサンプルは影を潜め、
メロディー、ハーモニーに焦点をあて驚異的な打ち込みによる
MIDI オーケストラと呼べる新たな音楽を作り上げる。
最新でもあり普遍的な音楽へと向かった"Deep Thoughts"

Giant Clawによるセルフライナー：
前作「DARK WEB」のハイパーリアリティーは新作「Deep Thoughts」にも引き継がれている。
特定の感情反応を引き起こすのに使用される確立された音楽的用法としての
メロディーやハーモニーに焦点を当て、
伝統的に利用可能な最少の表現としてのGM音源と他のSoundFontの組み合わせによって
色鮮やかなハーモーニー(感傷、陽気、脅威、哀愁)を用い、
伝統的な音表現で演奏された場合よりももっと鮮明になるように、
メロディーとハーモニーを際立たせそれらの感情反応に結びつくことを望んだ。
「Deep Thoughts」の構成と音色はさらに細分化され
個のアイデンティティをブランディングする手段として
我々を覆う多層の美的レイヤーとなった21世紀の音楽観に対する
深い歴史と過去のカノン形式を比較する。
この作品は情動やカタルシスが北米の文化・経済における
現代の音楽のなかでどう見えるのかにも焦点を当てています。

Deep Thoughts continues the hyperreality of Dark Web, focusing on melody and harmony as established musical tropes utilized to elicit very specific emotional responses.
By pairing colorful use of harmony (sentimental, jovial, menacing, pensive) with general MIDI and other soundfonts that are traditionally thought of as the least expressive available,
I was hoping to highlight the harmonic and melodic ties to those emotional responses,
allowing them to become more clear than if played with more traditionally expressive sounds.
The compositions and timbres in Deep Thoughts compare deep history and past musical cannons against a more fragmented 21st century view of music as an aesthetic layer superimposed over our identities as a means of personal identity branding.
Furthermore the work focuses on what emotionality or catharsis looks like in modern music set in an American culture and economy.
